Members of the public, including students, went to Tai Po offering support to residents affected by Wednesday's devastating fire at Wang Fuk Court.
Some volunteers RTHK spoke to said they had stayed overnight.
“I'm just here to stand by, so the whole night I just keep moving all the water bottles, anything, like I'm keeping warm, clothing. That's how I do, all night long, just like run and run,” Samuel said.
Another volunteer said people have formed online groups to gather and coordinate supplies.
The man, surnamed Lee, said he had lost count of how many times he had driven supplies to people in need.
"I live in Tseung Kwan O. I drove here to see how I could help. I carried food to firefighters and other frontline personnel. There’s a constant need for materials like masks and water, with exact locations listed for where help is needed. I've lost count of how many trips I’ve made,” he said.
