The Health Bureau on Monday announced it would waive all public-hospital fees for anyone injured in the Wang Fuk Court fire.
The waiver covers every necessary medical service, including medication and medical devices, during treatment and rehabilitation.
Hospital Authority service fees will be fully exempted for affected residents of all eight blocks of the estate in Tai Po – including domestic helpers – until the end of next year.
Such services include those for hospital admission, accident and emergency, family-medicine and specialist outpatient clinics, Chinese-medicine clinics, community medical service and day hospital.
They will need to present identification and basic personal details during the consultation to activate the waiver.
The Department of Health will provide a similar fee exemption across its services as well.
