Vice Premier He Lifeng had an "in-depth and constructive" video call with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer on Friday, Xinhua News Agency reported.
Both sides agreed to promote the stable development of bilateral trade and economic ties, and "expand the list for cooperation and shorten the list of problems", according to Xinhua.
The call came weeks after President Xi Jinping and his US counterpart Donald Trump met on the sidelines of the Apec summit in South Korea, defusing trade tensions triggered by US tariffs.
Meanwhile, Beijing will work with Washington on salient global narcotics issues based on the principles of equality and mutual respect, Xinhua quoted a spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security as saying. (Agencies)
