The Transport Department (TD) said it's beefing up transport services for residents of Tai Po's Wang Fuk Court displaced by last month's deadly blaze.

Officials announced the introduction of new routes for people living in five transitional housing projects in Tai Po and Yuen Long – Good House, Lok Sin Village, CONCORDIA Sheung Yue River, CONCORDIA Tsat Sing Kong and THE STEP – to and from Tai Po Market MTR station.

The department also announced increasing the capacity of some services, such as a bus route between Pok Oi Sing Ping Village in North District and Fanling as well as Sheung Shui stations.

"The TD will continue to maintain close liaison with the operating organisations of transitional housing projects concerned and public transport operators to cater for residents' commuting needs," a statement read.
