Passengers who want to reach The Peak will have to pay more, with some seeing an up to 38-percent fare hike starting from December 29.

The Peak Tramways Company announced in a statement on Monday that adult tram fares will increase from HK$76 to HK$82 for a single trip.

Their round-trip tickets will go up from HK$108 to HK$116.

For children under the age of 11 and people aged 65 or above, the ticket price for single trips will rise from HK$38 to HK$52, while round-trip tickets will go up from HK$54 to HK$75.

Tram fares last rose in 2024.
