The SAR's top deputy to the nation's top legislature said on Saturday that she is looking forward to the fourth annual session in Beijing next year, which is set to discuss issues such as reviewing the draft of the 15th Five-Year Plan for national economic and social development.
That came as the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee announced that the annual session of the NPC would convene on March 5.
Starry Lee, the sole SAR deputy in the NPC Standing Committee, told RTHK that she would collect public views in advance and present them at the meeting when the details of the 15th Five-Year Plan between 2026 and 2030 would be ironed out.
Other topics that will be covered during the session include deliberating the government work report, and examining the report on the implementation of the annual plan on national economic and social development for 2025.
The NPC meeting is set to be preceded by the start of that for the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference a day earlier on March 4. (Additional reporting by Xinhua)
