Hong Kong's stock market ended higher on Tuesday with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 0.86 percent to close at 25,854 points.
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 1.12 percent to end at 8,991, and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 1.74 percent to finish the day at 5,578 points.
On the mainland, stocks were flat, with the Shanghai Composite Index ending a nine-day winning streak as investors took profits following its best run in more than a year.
At market close, Shanghai finished at 3,965, breaking its best winning run since September 2024.
Still, the index has now gained more than 18 percent this year, on track for its best annual performance since 2019.
Meanwhile, the blue-chip CSI300 index edged up 0.3 percent after fluctuating between gains and losses throughout the day. (Xinhua/Reuters)
