A 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding in a knife attack at a public housing block in Tuen Mun that ended with four people, including the suspect, hospitalised on Friday.
Police first received a report of the incident at Hing Cheung House in Tai Hing Estate at around 7.30am.
Officers at the scene found four people injured: a 46-year-old man with abrasions to his neck, fingers and knees; a 44-year-old woman with an arm injury; and a 10-year-old girl with abrasions to her hand.
The suspect also sustained a hand injury.
The suspect is alleged to have drawn a knife and attacked the three in a corridor near the lift lobby.
All four were conscious when taken to Tuen Mun Hospital.
The force said initial investigations suggest the suspect and the victims, who are believed to be members of the same family, had a dispute over water dripping from an air-conditioner.
The suspect is being detained, with the case being handled by the Tuen Mun criminal investigation team.
