The Hang Seng Index rose 94 points, or 0.35 percent, to open at 26,844 points on Monday.

Mainland stocks also opened higher, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.21 percent to open at 4,144 and the Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.37 percent higher at 14,492. (Reporting by Xinhua)
