Police said an elderly cyclist died on Monday after being struck by a light goods vehicle in Tai Po.
The man, believed to be in his 70s, suffered head and leg injuries when he was hit by the vehicle on Ting Kok Road at around 7.25am.
He was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital.
Officers said the man was not carrying any identification documents.
The driver of the light goods vehicle was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.
Police appealed for any witnesses to the accident to contact the Special Investigation Team of Traffic in New Territories North.
