Sources on Thursday said that a cleaning company's forewoman was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty, following the deaths of more than a hundred fish in a pond in Tseung Kwan O.
The fish were found dead on Monday in a park in King Lam Estate, after cleaners washed the pond.
RTHK understands that cleaners moved the fish into containers with aquarium air pumps, and it's suspected that there wasn't enough oxygen for them.
Sources said the woman, 51, was arrested on Wednesday following police investigations.
