The MTR Corporation says on Friday morning that service intervals between Kennedy Town and Chai Wan stations had to be adjusted, due to a signalling equipment fault near Heng Fa Chuen station.

The announcement, made at around 8:30am, stated that commuters travelling along the Island Line could see their journeys extended by five to eight minutes as a result.

Repair were completed about half an hour later, and services have since gradually resumed.
