Police arrested a man on suspicion of dangerous driving causing the death of a 65-year-old woman in Kwun Tong in the early hours of Monday.

The 60-year-old medium goods vehicle driver was approaching Tsui Ping Road when he reportedly knocked down the victim at around 5.50am as she was crossing the road.

Paramedics rushed the unconscious victim – who suffered serious head and limb injuries – to United Christian Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

An investigation is being carried out by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic of Kowloon East.
