The MTR Corporation said on Wednesday that services on its Island Line were 'gradually resuming' after trains between Sheung Wan and Quarry Bay stations were halted for more than half an hour early in the morning.
The railway said an object that was obstructing the track area near Wan Chai station had been removed, allowing normal services to gradually resume.
Affected passengers had quickly switched to other modes of transport, leading to long queues for buses near affected stations.
