An 80-year-old man has died after being knocked down by a taxi in Ngau Tau Kok on Friday night.

Police said the incident happened just before 9.15 pm near Ngau Tau Kok Road as the taxi was heading along Kwun Tong Road towards Kwun Tong.

The man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious head and limb injuries.

He was certified dead just after 10.30 pm.

The 46-year-old taxi driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.
