A 49-year-old cyclist died on Sunday following an apparent crash in Tai Po after losing control of his bike.

Police said they received a call at around 10.30am that the man had lost consciousness after the crash on Bride's Pool Road.

The man was taken to Nethersole Hospital, where he was certified dead.

Officers took the bicycle away as part of their investigation.
