The Housing Department on Tuesday said the over 1,600 units at Oi Man Estate, which had no flushing water from 8 pm on Monday, saw services resume just before 9 am.
The suspension was due to a burst saltwater pipe in the water pump room of Lai Man House, which damaged the water pump control panel.
Four blocks at the public housing estate in Ho Man Tin -- Po Man House, Lai Man House, Kin Man House, and Kar Man House -- were affected.
Just over a thousand units between the 10th and 19th floors of all of these blocks, with the exception of Kar Man House, also had no fresh water. This was restored at 5 am.
Authorities arranged for a water truck to deliver fresh water to residents.
