The MTR Corporation on Wednesday warned of longer journey times during morning peak hours on the Tseung Kwan O Line due to problems with platform screen doors at North Point Station.

That followed an announcement shortly before 9am that the doors were not operating smoothly.

Some of the doors had to be operated manually and this slowed down trains at North Point Station.

Journey times between the station and the Po Lam and Lohas Park stops were longer by five to eight minutes.

The problem was fixed about an hour later, and services gradually returned to normal.
