Chief Executive John Lee on Wednesday met with the visiting Communist Party Secretary of Guangxi, Chen Gang, to exchange views on deepening co-operation between Hong Kong and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Lee said the SAR has established a task force to help mainland enterprises in going global, and expressed confidence in working with Guangxi to tap into overseas markets, such as Asean countries.
He said while Guangxi is developing into an important strategic hinterland of the Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong will proactively align with the National 15th Five-Year Plan, utilising its professional and high value-added services as well as business environment.
Chen and his delegation will on Thursday attend a promotion conference focusing on Guangxi's role in connecting with Asean and the Greater Bay Area.
