China is highly concerned about the military strikes launched by the US and Israel against Iran, the Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.

In a statement, the ministry said Iran's sovereignty, security and territorial integrity should be respected.

China calls for an immediate halt to the military action, no further escalation of tensions, and a resumption of dialogue and negotiations to uphold peace and stability in the Middle East, it added. (Agencies)
