Police on Sunday said a toddler died after he fell from height in Tsuen Wan.
Sources said his parents were arrested on suspicion of negligence.
Officers received a report shortly after 10.30am that the boy, who was about 2 years old, was lying unconscious on the platform of a Hanley Villa block.
His parents are said to be inside the flat at the time.
The family rushed the boy to Adventist Hospital where he was certified dead.
Sources said the victim was playing with his older brother in the living room when the incident occurred.
RTHK understood that the flat concerned didn't have window frames installed, nor were the windows locked.
