The driver of a private car was killed on Sunday after he passed out behind the wheel.

According to the police, the 64-year-old man reportedly collapsed when his car was travelling near Sha Tau Kok Road-Lung Yeuk Tau in Sheung Shui shortly after 3pm.

The vehicle crashed into an iron railing.

The man was unconscious and rushed to North District Hospital where he was later certified dead.

The Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is looking into the case.
