The Hang Seng Index gained 569.09 points, or 2.3 percent, to open at 25,357.23 points on Wednesday.

Mainland stocks also opened higher, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.23 percent to open at 3,939.57 points

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 1.88 percent higher at 13,731.39 points. (Xinhua)
