The government on Wednesday started publishing its weekly update on auto fuel prices.

The move was announced last month to enhance transparency and allow the public to choose better places to refuel their vehicles.

In addition to the retail cost of fuel, the government's information also includes prices that take into account discounts offered by oil companies as well as international prices for refined oil.

The weekly update will be released every Wednesday afternoon and can be viewed on the Environment and Ecology Bureau’s website.

If a Wednesday falls on a general holiday, the update will be released on the following working day.
