RTHK has signed memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with two major media organisations in Vietnam to co-produce programmes and enhance exchanges, as it stepped up cooperation with media groups in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations bloc.

The MOUs with Vietnam Television (VTV) and Voice of Vietnam (VOV) were signed during a visit to Hanoi by Director of Broadcasting Angelina Kwan.

Under a series of joint initiatives, RTHK's "A New Look into ASEAN (Season 2)" and "Study in HK" will air on VTV.

This is the first time RTHK shows will be aired on a TV station in a member state of the 10-nation bloc, marking a key step in RTHK's push to expand its global reach.

Kwan said the partnership will allow more than 100 million TV viewers in Vietnam to learn more about Hong Kong.

RTHK also reached agreement with VOV to produce programmes together and share content.

Kwan added that RTHK will continue to leverage Hong Kong's role as a super-connector between the mainland and the world, actively seek greater regional and global cooperation through quality programming, and tell the good stories of Hong Kong and China to the wider world.
