The Observatory said on Sunday afternoon that hail may affect the city shortly.

Bad weather has been hitting Hong Kong, with forecasters saying violent gusts reaching 90 kilometres per hour or above may affect the SAR.

The Observatory said members of the public should seek safe shelter immediately.

The Amber Rainstorm Warning was issued at 2.20pm.
