Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Kwun Tong in which a 58-year-old man died after his motorcycle hit the kerb near the Kowloon entrance to the Eastern Harbour Crossing.

Police said the accident happened just before 1 am Thursday on Lei Yuen Mun Road.

Officers said the motorcycle reportedly went out of control and rammed into the left side kerb while travelling along Eastern Harbour Crossing towards Hong Kong, before skidding forward and flipped on its side.

The man, suffering head injuries, was rushed to United Christian Hospital in an unconscious state. He was certified dead later.
