A man died after he fell and lost consciousness on a KMB bus on Saturday.

Police received reports at around 8am, stating the 72-year-old collapsed on the lower deck of a route 5 bus bound for Fu Shan Estate, Diamond Hill, when the double-decker was approaching Chatham Road South in Tsim Sha Tsui.

The man was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem will be performed to determine the cause of death.

The bus driver, 54, was taken to a police station to assist with an investigation.
