An air-conditioning worker died on Tuesday afternoon after falling from a residential building while installing a unit in Kowloon City.

Police said they received a report around noon that a male worker in his thirties was working outside a mid-level flat at a housing estate on Nga Tsin Long Road.

He is thought to have lost his footing before plunging from the building.

The man was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The Labour Department said it has launched an investigation into the cause of accident.
