The entire Legislative Council is set for a week-long study tour to Beijing this July, in what will be the first time the whole of Legco visits the capital together.
Writing on social media, Legco President Starry Lee said the itinerary would run from July 19 to 25, describing the upcoming visit as "extensive and well-organised."
It includes a visit to the Hong Kong and Macao Work Office, as well as field trips to look at the latest developments in "new quality productive forces", such as aerospace, new energy transport and artificial intelligence.
Lee stressed the delegation would have the opportunity to study the nation’s legislative and law enforcement structures.
The SAR lawmakers will also learn about the history and development of the Communist Party of China and its experience on grassroots community management, she added.
By studying the nation's latest advancements across various sectors, Lee said the tour would equip lawmakers to help the government draw up Hong Kong's first ever five-year plan, ensuring the SAR could better integrate into national development.
Legco’s House Committee is set to discuss details of the tour on Friday.
