Ten people were slightly injured on a Cathay Pacific flight returning to Hong Kong from Brisbane, Australia, early on Saturday due to air turbulence.

Responding to media enquiries, the flagship carrier said flight CX156 arrived in the SAR at 6.45am, and medical personnel immediately boarded the plane to assess the conditions of those feeling unwell.

Six cabin crew members and four passengers sustained minor injuries in the incident, the airline said.

Eight of them were sent to hospital.

The airline said it would continue to closely monitor their condition and provide assistance when needed.
