Police on Friday said they had arrested a 14-year-old student suspected of hiding a blade between seats on a double-decker bus.
On Wednesday, a passenger reported finding a 13cm-long cutter – with its blade extended by 1cm – wedged between seats on a Citybus service bound for Admiralty.
No injuries were reported.
Inspector Lee Yan-hon said a male teenager was arrested in Aberdeen on Thursday on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and attempted wounding. The student was released on bail.
Last Saturday, a passenger reported that she had been pricked by a sewing needle hidden in the backrest of a seat on a Citybus service.
Lee said police do not believe the two cases are related.
