Police said on Saturday that a man has been charged with indecent assault after he allegedly harassed a female passenger aboard a KMB double-decker.

The arrest was made following a video circulating online on Friday that showed a man allegedly groping a female student who was sitting in the seat in front of him on the upper deck.

Officers then managed to contact the secondary three student through her school to learn more about the incident and review surveillance camera footage.

The 65-year-old was arrested later on Friday at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge arrival hall.

Inspector Wan Ka-nam said the victim was not connected to the man and had just left school.

"We will maintain close contact with the victim, her family and school to provide her with appropriate support," he said.

The man will appear in West Kowloon Magistrate's Court on Monday.
