China believes that there must be no turning back in the US-Iran talks, still less a return to the use of force, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.
He made the comments in a phone call with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Wang also said Beijing stands ready to work with Islamabad to promote peace and advance dialogue, and keep making efforts for the early restoration of peace, stability and development in the Middle East.
He praised Pakistan's efforts as a mediator between Tehran and Washington.
The foreign minister added China has consistently advocated that regional countries should take their future and destiny into their own hands, and hopes to explore – through dialogue and consultation – a peace and security architecture that is jointly participated in by all countries in the Middle East.
