A collision between a coach and a light goods vehicle along Fanling Highway on Wednesday morning left one driver trapped.
Police said they were alerted shortly before 6.30am about the incident near Tsung Pak Long.
The coach was heading towards Sheung Shui along Fanling Highway when it hit the light goods vehicle that had broken down.
Photos circulating online showed that the light goods vehicle had overturned and ended up on its side following the incident.
The 45-year-old coach driver was trapped for a short period of time before he was freed by firefighters, but did not need hospital treatment.
The 62-year-old truck driver also sustained no injuries.
Part of the lanes that were initially closed to traffic have reopened, with the Transport Department saying that the backlog of vehicles would take time to disperse.
