Several airlines have cancelled flights in and out of the SAR for Saturday and Sunday as Typhoon Noul nears.

Cathay Pacific said it has cancelled all flights departing from and arriving in Hong Kong from 1.15am until 6pm on Sunday, while some of its other flights will see delays.

It said affected passengers will be automatically booked on other available flights.

The carrier said it is currently arranging for flight resumptions once the storm moves away from the city and expects operations to get back on track from Sunday evening to Monday.

It urged passengers to ensure their contact information is correct so they can receive the latest flight updates.

The airline also said it will waive all fees for rebookings and destination changes, arrange ticket refunds and has called on passengers to make use of the self-service booking management platform to make flight changes if needed.

Its budget arm, Hong Kong Express, has suspended about 30 flights to and from the SAR.

Greater Bay Airlines also cancelled one flight to Taipei on Saturday as well as another bound for Hong Kong from Taipei on Sunday.
