A man has died in motorcycle crash by the airport.

Police say the 38-year-old rammed into a lamppost after apparently losing control while travelling down South Perimeter Road towards the airport at around 8.10 pm on Saturday evening.

He was rushed to North Lantau hospital with severe head injuries but died a short time later. Police are investigating the crash and are urging witnesses to come forward.
