Police on Sunday said they arrested three more men in connection with a murder at a Tsim Sha Tsui bar last week that left a 32-year-old man dead.

The latest arrests, made on Friday and Saturday in Tsim Sha Tsui and Yuen Long, include a 40-year-old man on suspicion of murder, alongside two men, aged 36 and 52, for allegedly assisting offenders.

The 36-year-old man has been charged with one count of assisting offenders, and his case will be heard at the Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts on Monday morning.

The other two suspects have been detained for investigation.

Acting senior superintendent Ching Chi-yan said more arrests could be made.

“Police have arrested a total of 12 people in connection with this case, including nine men and three women. Five of those arrested had been charged earlier with murder and assisting offenders. As for the three men arrested most recently, one has already been charged with assisting offenders, whilst the other two are currently held for further investigation. Our arrest operation is still ongoing,” he said.

Ching added that officers also arrested 90 other people for various offences during anti-crime sweeps at bars, mahjong parlours, and entertainment venues as part of the manhunt for the murder suspects.
