The Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Angela Lee, joined Director of Broadcasting Angelina Kwan at a closing ceremony on Thursday for Radio Television Hong Kong's Solar Project 2026.

At the event, more than 100 students from 77 secondary schools presented the things they learnt through the programme.

"Amid a shifting global economic landscape and rapid technological advancement, Hong Kong will seize the opportunities presented by the National 15th Five-Year Plan, channelling our unique strengths into the broader national development agenda and innovation ecosystem," Lee said in a speech.

She urged the students to step up and seize opportunities in various fields, including innovation and technology cultural and creative industries, and professional services.

Under the theme "Cultural and Tourism Junior Reporters", the Solar Ambassadors went on a study trip to Shenzhen's Qianhai district in June, followed by a visit to Xinjiang in July.

A special programme documenting the highlights of this year's Solar Project will air on RTHK TV31 at 9.30pm for three consecutive Fridays beginning on August 28.
