Five people were injured around noon on Saturday in two traffic accidents involving a total of 10 cars on Lion Rock Tunnel Road.
Two taxis and a car collided in the first accident at 11.42am.
A taxi passenger sustained minor injuries.
That was followed just over 20 minutes later by the second one, this time with five cars, a taxi and a medium-goods vehicle getting entangled.
Police said four people were sent to Prince of Wales Hospital with injuries to their necks or hands.
Traffic was temporarily disrupted as a result of the crashes, which occurred on the Kowloon-bound lanes of the carriageway.
