State media say the remains of late former premier Zhu Rongji will be cremated in Beijing on Tuesday.
Zhu, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 98, was also a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the 14th and 15th Central Committees of the Communist Party of China.
National flags will be flown at half-staff on Tuesday across the capital, including Tian'anmen Square and the Great Hall of the People.
Border ports, seaports and airports across the country, as well as Chinese embassies and consulates around the world will do the same to mourn Zhu's death.
The Hong Kong SAR government has announced that national and SAR flags will be flown at half-staff that day at its Tamar headquarters, Government House, boundary control points and the airport.
