China and India will hold the 25th round of talks between their special representatives on the border question in Beijing on Tuesday, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson announced on Monday.

As agreed between the two sides, Foreign Minister Wang Yi will co-chair the talks with India's Special Representative and national security adviser Ajit Doval, said the spokesperson.

"Doval, India's Special Representative on the India-China Boundary Question, arrived in Beijing on a two-day visit earlier this afternoon," India's Foreign Ministry said.

Doval will also meet Vice President Han Zheng, it added.

The two sides have met repeatedly for talks about their border since 2020.

"At this meeting, the two sides will, in accordance with the spirit of the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, continue to engage in in-depth communication on the boundary question and jointly safeguard peace and tranquility in the border areas," Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said in Beijing.
