The Observatory issued the red rainstorm warning at 5.05 am on Thursday.

Classes of all AM schools and whole-day schools are suspended.

If the Observatory issues the amber rainstorm warning signal or cancels all rainstorm warning signals at or before 10.30 am, classes of PM schools will proceed as usual unless advised otherwise.

The Drainage Services Department is asking members of the public to report any street flooding.

The Labour Department said employers should make work arrangements for their employees as soon as possible.
