Police are searching for a man who has disappeared after allegedly refusing to share lottery winnings with his colleagues who pooled money for a Mark Six ticket.

Officers said they are investigating a theft case involving a 36-year-old man and 14 of his colleagues who jointly paid for a Mark Six ticket last Saturday. The man was responsible for placing the bet.

After the group won, police said the prize money was deposited into his account. He is suspected of refusing to split the winnings equally with his colleagues.

The man then did not contact the group, prompting his colleagues to report the matter to police. Officers are now searching for him.

The estimated first division prize fund for the Snowball Draw is HK$228 million.
