Police on Wednesday said officers are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O where a 21-year-old motorcyclist died.

The incident occurred at about 12.44am when a motorcycle driven by the man was travelling along Tai Au Mun Road northbound, reportedly lost control and rammed into a kerb.

Police said the motorcyclist sustained multiple injuries and was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital in an unconscious state. He was later pronounced dead.

Officers from a special investigation team of traffic of Kowloon East are investigating the case.

Police called on witnesses to come forward.
