A 23-minute fireworks show over Victoria Harbour on Thursday marked the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Featuring various patterns of the sun with the theme "Eternal Radiance Fireworks in Bloom, Illuminating our Country", the display began at 8pm and was divided into eight segments involving more than 30,000 firing shells.
The second scene was the highlight of the show, showcasing variations in the pattern of the sun to symbolise warmth, energy, and hope.
The fireworks drew large crowds of residents and tourists on both sides of the harbour.
