The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) on Wednesday said the city's annual Wine & Dine Festival would be bigger than ever this year, expanding from the Central Harbourfront Event Space into Tamar Park.
This year's Wine & Dine Festival – themed "Taste the World's Best" – kicks off on October 29, with around 168,000 visitors expected over four days.
It will feature more than 340 stalls – a 10 percent increase from last year – with wines and food from around 30 countries and regions.
New pavilions from Australia, Canada and South Korea will make their debut.
"Residents and visitors don't need to travel the world. They can join this mega event right here in Hong Kong and taste the world's top wines and food all in one place. It's a flavour unique to Hong Kong. They can also explore a range of exclusive experiences," HKTB chairman Peter Lam said.
"I hope this will encourage visitors to stay longer, spend more, and create more business opportunities for the industry."
The tasting pass is priced at HK$258, while the grand wine pass costs HK$558.
Tickets will be available at the door, and online booking on Trip.com opens next Monday.
On the first day, the festival runs from 7.30pm to midnight.
On October 30 and 31, it opens at 1pm and runs until 1am.
On the final day, November 1, it opens at 1pm and closes at midnight.
The HKTB says a "Hong Kong Gourmet Month" will follow in November – with festival ticket stub holders able to enjoy exclusive offers at selected restaurants and retailers.
