The developer embroiled in a controversy over suspected improper steel reinforcement at a luxury residential project in Stanley says it will provide homeowners with an additional structural warranty alongside free inspections.
In a statement on Friday, K&K Property via its subsidiary K Wise stressed that according to information released by the Buildings Department, the overall structure of the house in question at the One Stanley development poses no obvious danger.
The developer noted that it had made contact with the owner and proposed co-hiring independent professionals for a further inspection.
However, the developer said the two sides failed to reach a consensus, with subsequent discussions regarding transaction arrangements and the owner's demands also proving unsuccessful.
It said building safety and owner interests are its top priorities, stressing that it will fully cooperate with the department’s investigation.
K&K Property said that on top of the original three-year defect liability period, it will offer an additional six-year structural warranty – calculated from the completion date – to buyers who have completed transactions, as well as those currently in the process of purchasing a home.
The developer added that it will arrange for independent qualified professionals to perform property inspections free of charge.
