The MTR on Tuesday said a trackside fire near Lam Tin Station has been put out – about 30 minutes after it started.

The incident, which occurred about 6pm, affected services on the Kwun Tong Line between Kwun Tong and Tiu Keng Leng stations.

The rail operator said safety checks are being conducted and normal services will gradually resume.

Free shuttle buses have been arranged between Kwun Tong, Lam Tin, and Yau Tong stations.
