Premier Li Qiang said on Monday that China is willing to expand cooperation with Tajikistan in emerging industries such as the digital economy and artificial intelligence.
In his meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe, Li said China stands ready to expand bilateral trade with Tajikistan, strengthen cooperation in infrastructure, green minerals, connectivity and other fields, so as to jointly build new drivers of economic growth.
He also called for deepening cooperation in law enforcement and security.
Li arrived in Tajikistan on Sunday for an official visit and to attend the 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
In talks with Iran's First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref on the sidelines of the SCO meeting, the premier said Beijing stands ready to promote new progress in exchanges and cooperation across various fields with Tehran.
Li also said China, upholding the spirit of the series of major initiatives and proposals put forward by President Xi Jinping, will continue to work to promote peace, stability and development in the Middle East.
He added that sovereignty and security of all countries should be respected, and that all parties concerned should opt for peace, resume dialogue and negotiations at an early date, and resolve differences through political and diplomatic means. (Reporting by Xinhua)
